LISTEN: BLINK-182 GOT 'BORED TO DEATH' OF NOT MAKING MUSIC, DROP NEW SINGLE
It's been five years since Neighborhoods, but Blink-182 have yet to stray from their pop-punk origins with 'Bored To Death'.
After several band controversies over the years, the most recent one has led to the replacement of lead vocalist, Tom Delonge with Matt Skiba. Though many could argue that Delonge's departure is a sad one, a decreased volatility within the group may account for the first music we've seen since 2011.
'Bored To Death' is very much a return to form for the pop-punk trio. Nothing about this song feels like anything being released today, but remnant of a time gone by.. Pop-punk no longer has the stranglehold on popular culture it once had, and it's nice to see it still live on in Blink-182.
Blink-182's newest album, California drops July 1.
