FILM: FINAL 'FANTASTIC FOUR' TRAILER GOES INTERDIMENSIONAL
As we near the final weeks leading up to the release of 20th Century FOX's 'Fantastic Four,' we've got one last trailer before the fanboys sharpen their claws and commence the beat down.
No matter how interesting Josh Trank's fresh take on the FF franchise appears to be, fanboys and general audiences remain ambivalent.
Its development has been overshadowed by criticisms found in Trank's changes to comic book lore, his ability to direct, and the conflicts surrounding director Trank, Simon Kinberg and 20th Century FOX. If anything is for certain, 'Fantastic Four' has been pegged as an unfaithful, doomed to fail superhero film from the very beginning.
Nevertheless, we loved Josh Tank's first film 'Chronicle,' and we expect great things from his latest film.
This new trailer explores the childhood relationship between Grimm and Reed, taking us back to the time we were kids, when we saw the world as a dashboard of opportunity. There's so little telling us that this movie will be bad at all, except for the fact that we haven't been given insight into Dr. Doom's character as much as we'd have liked.
'Fantastic Four' drops in cinemas August 7th. Prepare to either hop onto the hate train, fall headfirst into Trank's new take or not bother seeing it at all. Expect PBS to weigh in on the final result.
