WATCH: DUCKY'S 'BLISS' MV IS PURE ELECTRONICA BLISS; RE-INVENTS STUDY MUSIC
The rise of female electronic producers is coming. Ducky's production on this track is pure bliss.
I can't say the same for the music video.
Two girls wander a city clad in all white, end up in a forest, only to find themselves watched by a creepy scientist. I can't figure out the meaning of the video, but if you do we're dying to know at Playback Society.
Video aside, Ducky is signed onto Ryan Hemsworth's 'Secret Songs' label. Bliss comes from her newest album, Don't Give Up Yet.
This song feels like something you can study to, but at the same time I can imagine Bliss being played at underground clubs because it is quite upbeat and jumpy.
The genius of Bliss is that is it quite repetitive, but not boring. DUCKY has crafted a beat that is interesting enough to grab your attention and keep it for the full four minutes.
Soldier on Ducky. We're keen to see more pioneering female electronic artists take on the world.
