If you aren’t aware about the trending meme in regards to Harambe, where have you been? It’s been all over the Internet and is one of the biggest phenomenons since, well the last phenomenon.
This satirical song track by Drink Bros' Podcast recounts the unfortunate story of Harambe. Sampling Bag Raiders' 2009 track Shooting Stars, the Drink Bros' have touched on my nostalgia buttons with a song I haven't heard in years.
What makes these type of humorous songs work is the catchiness behind them and We Are All Harambe captures that. The chorus that repetitively chants, “we are all Harambe” is catchy as hell.
It sounds exactly like something you’ve heard before and that’s why it works. Harambe is a tired meme, but this song doesn't feel tired at all. The song isn’t trying to be different. It’s the fact that these guys came together to actually write a song for Harambe that makes it great.
