WATCH: THE FIRST 'ASSASSIN'S CREED' TRAILER UNVEILS MICHAEL FASSBENDER'S HIDDEN BLADES
Fuck yes.
The first Assassin’s Creed Movie trailer is finally here, its glorious and Michael Fassbender looks amazing as per usual. This may very well be the first good game-to-film adaptation ever. Sorry Prince of Persia, you tried.
Based on the hugely successful game series, the movie adds a star studded cast to the Assassin’s universe, consisting of Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter) as well as many more.
Michael Fassbender plays a dead man who is thrust into the Animus, a machine which allows him to experience the lives of his ancestors.
Brought to us by Justin Kurzel, who also directed Fassbender’s Macbeth last year, I think I can safely say that the movie is in great hands. The scenes look like they’ve been seamlessly taken out of the games and props, especially the hidden blades, look stunning. The leap of faith at end was the perfect way to end the trailer.
I absolutely can’t wait till December but it’ll be interesting to see how the movie fairs against Rogue One. Regardless, December looks amazing.
Oh and how could I forget about Kanye West’s I am a God blasting throughout the trailer. Odd choice but I absolutely love it.
The trailer marked its World Premiere on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Synopsis from IMDB:
When Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society.
